Joseph Malloy, Ph.D.,
has been the Principal Partner at the
Kensington Research Group since its founding in 1989. Dr. Malloy's
broad interests in organizational behavior, public education, and
social policy are reflected in the evaluations he designs for state
and federally-funded programs in California, which include teacher
training and professional development, mentoring, teen pregnancy
prevention, violence prevention, family literacy, early childhood
education, voluntary integration, and technology education, among
others. Before his career in consulting, Dr. Malloy taught history in
an urban school district in northern California, and later worked as
a school administrator in the District's Office of Governmental
Relations.
Rita Gaber
Rita Gaber joined the Kensington Research Group in 1999 as an
Associate, after working as the Foundation Administrator at the
Potlatch Corporation, and later as an Account Manager for a small
production and communications firm in San Francisco. With her
colleagues at KRG, Ms. Gaber has written a number of successful grant
proposals which have provided funds for family literacy, mentoring,
early childhood education, community health, technology education,
school reform, and teen pregnancy prevention programs in California.
Ms. Gaber also has experience writing qualitative and quantitative
evaluations for a range of education, health, and social service
programs. In addition to her work as a grant-writer and evaluator,
Ms. Gaber is beginning her third-year as a Ph.D. student in the
Geography Department at UC Berkeley, where she plans to write a
dissertation on health and community organizing in California.
Micaela Pronio
Micaela Pronio has been with the Kensington Research Group since 1995,
handling data summary/entry and office support duties. She has an M.S.

well as project management for Paraprofessional Teacher Training
(a.k.a. Career Ladder) Programs. Prior to joining the KRG, Ms.

and with popular education and human rights initiatives in Central
America. Ms. Richard completed her Ph.D. in Social and Cultural Studies in Education at the University of California, Berkeley in 2004. In addition to her professional work, Ms. Richard enjoys
outdoor activities and raising a family.

focusing on areas such as community building, youth development, parent
education, mental health and educational enrichment. In addition to
